Celebration of the Age of Fapet Entering the 12th Lustrum 

The age of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) is 60 years old on October 26, 2021. The celebration of gratitude for entering the 12th Lustrum was held by holding a prayer celebration, Friday (29/10/2021). The event was held in the 8th floor auditorium with a hybrid system, namely a combination of online and offline, considering the pandemic conditions that have not subsided.

Invitations for offline participants are limited by complying with health protocols, but the entire family of Fapet UB can still join the event via zoom and youtube. The series of events included the cutting of the cone by the Dean who was represented by the Vice Deans, delivery of messages and impressions of after-service representatives, awarding of awards to lecturers and education staff, and door prizes drawing.

Prof. Suyadi as the Dean explained that currently Fapet UB is one of the top three Faculties of Animal Husbandry in Indonesia, and is ranked second nationally in the SINTA (Science and Technology Index) publication category. Namely, the measurement of the performance of Science and Technology (IPTEK) which includes the performance of researchers, journals, science and technology institutions, and journal writers.

Then in terms of human resources, especially teaching staff, the quality has increased. Where since last year four lecturers won doctorate degrees and four professors. Meanwhile, in terms of the curriculum for undergraduate, master, and doctoral study programs, applied Outcome Base Education (OBE) is. Namely a curriculum that increases student capacity in technical aspects and mechanization of supporting technology. In order to produce outcomes that are ready to face industrialization and entrepreneurship, and have international standard capabilities.

The recipients of the pioneering award and opening the way of life of Fapet UB were given to the former Dean of the 1986-1989 period, Prof. Widji Widodo. Furthermore, the category of continuing the H Index which is more than equal to 4 is Prof. Suyadi, Prof. Sri Wahjuningsih, Prof. Nurul Isnaini, Prof. Gatot Ciptadi, Prof. Lilik Eka Radiati, Dr. Eko Widodo, Prof. Budi Hartono, and Prof. Kusmartono.

The category of the number of Scopus citations includes Prof. Suyadi, Dr. Osfar Sjofjan, Prof. Muhammad Halim Natsir, Prof. Gatot Ciptadi, and Prof. Sri Wahjuningsih. Awards to the top six outstanding accreditation contributions, including Dr. Herly Evanuarini, Ria Dewi Andriani, M.Sc., Wike Andre Septian, M.Si, Dr. Kuswati, Dr. Premy Puspitawati Rahayu, and Puji Akhiroh, M.Sc.
