Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a workshop on developing and strengthening interests, Wednesday – Thursday (11/10/2021). Located at the Aston Inn Batu Hotel, the offline event was attended by the leadership, representatives of the AQAS international accreditation team, and the Internal Quality Audit (AIM) team.
Prof. Suyadi in his speech said that the purpose of this event is to harmonize the change of UB’s status to become a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH). Strengthening interest can be done by intensifying products resulting from technology that have the potential to be developed by each interest. It is hoped that Fapet UB’s contribution will increasingly show an effort to advance Indonesian animal husbandry.
Currently, Fapet UB has four areas of specialization, namely interest in livestock production, interest in nutrition and fodder, interest in livestock socio-economics, and interest in technology of livestock products.
In addition, it also reviewed the progress of the AIM report and the submission of international accreditation for the Masters and Doctoral Programs named AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of Study). The team task force head of, Prof. VM Ani, said that the AQAS accreditation document had been successfully submitted.
While waiting for the assessors to check the documents, the AQAS team continued to improve the supporting documents and infrastructure. Field visits will be conducted in early 2022 offline. (dta)
