New students at the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) are provided with knowledge of archipelago insight through a coaching program (probin), Saturday (17/9/2022). Located in the Auditorium room, 8th floor of Gd.V, the speakers who were brought in were professors of the UB Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Moh. Fadli, SH, M. Hum.
He conveyed the understanding and importance of insight into the archipelago for the younger generation. According to him, the archipelago insight is the perspective of both the people and the Indonesian government towards themselves and their environment based on Pancasila and the state constitution.
“Students need to be given knowledge about the archipelago’s insight to foster the spirit of nationalism and counteract radicalism.” said Fadli
Meanwhile, the challenges in the XXI century to foster a spirit of nationalism among young people include the rise of radicalism, terrorism, natural resources, democratic systems, post truth, modern war, competition, technology, and energy. Therefore, it is necessary to declare de-radicalization, namely a program to neutralize the thoughts of those who have fallen into radicalism. The targets are the wider community, radical groups, and jihadist/terrorist groups.
The probin event was closed with the introduction of the Indonesian Animal Husbandry Student Senate Association (ISMAPETI) by Fapet UB students who served as coordinators of action and propaganda in Region IV (NTB, Kalimantan, East Java, and Bali), Vueri Novialdy. ISMAPETI is an organization that accommodates inter-university animal husbandry students in Indonesia to channel their aspirations.
Probin is a continuation of campus life introduction activities for new students (PKKMB), which is held until the end of the odd semester of TA. 2022/2023, but only held every Saturday. The goal is to foster students in participating in academic activities, socializing the ethics of campus life, building self-character, and cooperation. (dta)
