Faculty of Animal Science UB Collaboration with PT. Haida: Strategic Partnership for Human Resources Development and R&D

(Pasuruan, January 23, 2024)In an effort to enhance education quality and create employment opportunities for students, the Faculty of Animal Science at Brawijaya University (UB) has established a strategic partnership with PT. Haida. This collaboration agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science at UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Halim Natsir, S.Pt., MP., IPM., ASEAN Eng, representing the first party, and Xu Youfu, Chief Executive Officer of PT. Haida Agriculture Indonesia, representing the second party.

The Memorandum of Understanding encompasses various crucial aspects for human resources development and research in the field of animal husbandry. The key points of the agreement include:

Student Recruitment:

Involving the recruitment process for fresh graduate students.

Providing internship opportunities for students to broaden their practical insights.

Internship Programs:

Regularly organizing internship programs, facilitating students to gain direct experience in the working environment of PT. Haida.

Offering practical experiences aligned with the students’ field of study in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at UB.

Technical Sharing:

Conducting seminars and technical sharing activities.

Discussing contemporary learning materials relevant to the developments in the animal husbandry industry.

R&D (Research and Development):

Collaborating in research and development (R&D) activities.

Providing support and communication for R&D experiments conducted by both parties.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice Deans 1, 2, and 3 of the Faculty of Animal Science at UB, as well as faculty representatives. The event took place at the office of PT. Haida Agriculture Indonesia located in Rembang, Pasuruan, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

In his address, Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Halim Natsir expressed, “This collaboration is a significant step in connecting the academic world with the industry. We believe that through this partnership, our students will gain valuable experience and practical knowledge that will prepare them for the workforce more effectively.”

Meanwhile, Xu Youfu, CEO of PT. Haida Agriculture Indonesia, welcomed the collaboration and expressed hope for creating positive synergy between the two parties. “We are committed to making a positive contribution to the development of human resources in the field of animal husbandry and supporting research and development activities for mutual progress,” he stated.

 

The collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Science at UB and PT. Haida is expected to serve as an exemplary model of beneficial cooperation between higher education institutions and industries, opening broader opportunities for students and fostering innovation in the animal husbandry sector.
