The Research Group Red Meat Producers (RG-RMP) Team of the Animal Science Faculty of Universitas Brawijaya (ASF UB) conducts a comparative study to the fostered groups and partnerships, Sunday (31/01/2021).
The goal is to study the models that have been used by the group in developing environmentally friendly beef cattle breeding or caring about the sustainability of the universe.
The first comparative study, they went to Pak Lan’s Gazebo in Gading Kasri. There is a pilot business for dairy cattle rearing which is integrated with worm and citrus plantations. So that one farmer can get around the cow business without having to look for grass for feed every day with a capacity of more than 20 head. As well as getting income from various businesses.
The next visit was Bumi partnership PT Santosa Agrindo, which is a partnership of about 30 people in one group. Where each breeder has 11 feeder cattle with Bank credit of 500 million per person. The business is also integrated between cattle fattening and worm business, the products of this worm business have been taken directly by several collectors, while worm eggs have reached exports.
The activity was carried out by members of the RG-RMP as well as experts from the partnership program, consisting of prof. Trinil Susilawati, Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D, and Dr. Hermanto. In addition, representatives from CSF from PT Nestle are also looking for a form of partnership in overcoming dairy cow waste to minimize and even avoid environmental pollution. (Nien / dta)
