Tim UB Faculty of Animal Science Students Win Awards in the 2023 Mandalika Essay Competition

Students of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) brought awards in competitions in the fields of reasoning, writing and dedication, namely the Mandalika Essay Competition 2. The event which was organized by the Setara Prisma Nusantara or Nusantara Muda Institute was held on Sunday (5/3/2023) in Lombok – West Nusa Tenggara.

The Faculty of Animal Science sent seven teams and managed to bring home eight awards. Among them were 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, 2nd winner in all fields essay, 3rd winner in posters, and best poster. Afreezon Naufal as one of the team leaders expressed his gratitude for this achievement and thanked all parties who had supported during the preparation process for the competition. He also congratulated all the participants who had participated in the competition.

A gold medal was presented by the Afreezon Naufal and Eka Putriwahyuningtyas team with the work title “Utilization of Bread Waste as an Antiseptic with the Addition of Tea Leaf Extract as a Solution for Subclinical Mastitis Prevention in Pujon Malang Dairy Farmers”. In addition, the team won second place in essays in all fields. Meanwhile, gold medals were also obtained from the Eka Putriwahyuningtyas team, Achmad Afrianto, Bagus Chandra Ramadhan Gunawan and Maulidya Zahrina Qolby. Through their work entitled “Investment-Based Sheep Marketing System and Digital Marketing Era 5.0 to Improve the Economy of the Communities of Bumirejo Dampit Malang Village ”, they also won the third prize in the field of posters and best posters.

Then the Maulidya Zahrina Qolby team, Arsalan Fadlan Aziz, Radha Amborowati, and Carles Turawan donated a silver medal in the field of technology posters. The work carried is titled “Dairy Machine Innovation Integrated with SPR and PSC Biosensor Technology to Increase the Biosecurity of Cow’s Milk Production. The next silver medal in the field of food agriculture livestock posters was awarded to the Aurega Puspa Anugrailah team, Sularso, Rahmat Setiawan, and Eka Putriwahyuningtyas. They raised a work entitled “SMARTEDFARM: Smart Integrated Farm E-Commerce Application for Goat Sales with an Integrated Agrocomplex Concept to Support Society 5.0 Era.”

The bronze medal in the field of health essay was won by Zahrotur Rozana, Bagus Chandra Ramadhan Gunawan and Gita Aprini for their work “Cookies with Omega 3 Extraction from Chicken Feet as a Stimulus for Serotonin Hormone in Overcoming Baby Blues in Mothers Giving Birth.” (dta)
