Tealur: Today’s Healthy Drinks Made from Pasteurized Tea and Eggs  

Data at the Central Statistics Agency in 2020 shows that the youth and millennial generations in Indonesia have 20.92% health complaints. One of the causes is the consumption of fast food and drinks because they have not been able to meet the right nutritional needs. 

Responding to this phenomenon, students of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) make innovations for modern healthy drinks. The main raw materials are tea and pasteurized eggs which are processed by hot filling so that the product can last a long time and has high nutritional value.

The product called “tealur” was created by Detry Al Bukhary, Andhani Kurnia Rahman, and Maulidya Zahrina Qolby. According to Detry as the team leader, tealur has a unique taste. Besides that, there are many benefits, such as egg yolks which can increase stamina as well as being suitable as a hunger delayer because it contains quite high energy. As well as carotenoids in eggs that have a good role in maintaining eye health while reducing the risk of cataracts.

Through this product, they won second place in the Information System Path to Creativity (INSPACE) 2022, Sunday (23/10/2022). That is an event organized by the Kalimantan Institute of Technology with the theme “Awakening the Mighty Realizing Digital Ecosystem Transformation to Optimize the Implementation of the G20 Presidency in Indonesia”. Various competitions ranging from Business Plan Competition, Infographic Poster Design, Digital Animation, and UI/UX Design. (dta)
