Teaching Farm Fapet Collaborates with Bimtek with PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia

The Faculty of Animal Science of Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) collaborates with pt. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (CPI), a trading business called Muria PS. Agreements will be made in terms of technical guidance on the maintenance of laying hens, business management, and marketing of livestock production (eggs) focused on Fapet teaching farms. In addition, Muria PS will also supply livestock production facilities, which include feed, purebred chickens ready to lay eggs (pullets), vaccines, and medicines.

Currently, Fapet has a teaching farm located in Sumber Sekar Dau Village, Malang Regency. There is a closed house cage for laying hens (layer) which is used as a learning medium for students and lecturers. The cage with a capacity of 5120 chickens is a grant from PT. CPI as a form of support in producing livestock graduates who have the skills and expertise to prepare to face the industrial world.

The manuscript of understanding was signed by Prof. Suyadi (Dean) and Puji Hari Wahyudi (business owner), Thursday (20/10/2022). According to Suyadi, this step is based on Fapet’s consistency in operationalizing teaching farms and developing livestock businesses. (dta)
