Selection of Camaba Program Masters of Animal Science Batch III

Selection of prospective new student admissions for the Masters Program (S2) of Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) odd semester TA. 2023/2024 batch III was held again. The stages of the written test and interview were conducted online, Tuesday (18/7/2023). There were nine participants in the selection who were graduates from Mataram University, Malang Agricultural Development Polytechnic, and UB.

The activity was opened by Dr. Agus Susilo as Vice Dean for General Affairs, Finance and Resources. He said that the written tests and interviews aimed to find out how motivated the participants were and how far their understanding was. This is because the procedure for conducting lectures between bachelor programs (S1) is different from master programs (S2). While the interviews were conducted to give an overview of the Master’s degree so that students can graduate on time, namely two years or four semesters.

“The key to graduating on time is having a target and description for research that will serve as a thesis. Apart from that, he is diligent in attending lectures and is active in writing journals, because one of the requirements for graduating from a master’s degree is the publication of a national or international journal.” explained Dr. Agus

At the interview stage, the participants were divided into three breakout rooms with each interviewing lecturer, including Dr. Agus, Prof. Tri Eko (Head of the Master of Animal Science Study Program), and Prof. Kuswati (Postgraduate teaching lecturer).

Magister Animal Husbandry Science Faculty of Animal Science UB has several interests, including Animal Nutrition and Feeding, Animal Production, Animal Reproduction and Breeding, Animal Product Technology, and Animal Husbandry Agribusiness. (dta)
