RG RMP Provides Integrated Farming System Assistance for Breeders in Tuban

The Study Group of Red Meat Producers (RMP) of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) visited the Karya Makmur Sejati livestock group, Plandi Rejo Village, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency, Thursday – Saturday (25-27/5/2023). The activity which is part of a series of collaborations with Bank Indonesia East Java was carried out by Prof. Trinil Susilawati, Dr. Nanang Febrianto, Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti, M.Sc., and Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc. Sera involved undergraduate and masters program students in animal sciences.

Meanwhile also present managers and staff of Bank Indonesia East Java, leaders and staff of the Office of Food Security, Agriculture and Fisheries, as well as representatives of Animal Health officers and Inseminators in Tuban Regency.

Prof. Trill saidthe Karya Makmur Sejati livestock group has problems with livestock around reproductive and feeding disorders. Furthermore, providing training in reproductive management, feed management and technology, as well as group strengthening. Then manufacture and use livestock waste to increase people’s income.

“We hope throughThis activity can support livestock group members to be more enthusiastic in raising beef cattle. Especially after the endepide of foot and mouth disease (FMD) which killed around 50% of cattle and the low selling value, causing losses for farmers.” said Trinil (TS/dta)
