RG Red Meat Producers Cooperate with PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa Realizes the Formation of UB Cattle and Yubi Grass

Research Group –Red Meat Producers (RGRMP) Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) conducts lecturer activities by planning the manufacture of forage plants for animal feed which will be named UB (read: yubi) Grass. As well as forming a new breed of cattle that is suitable for the tropics and has high productivity with the label of UB cattle.

The lecturer team consists of Prof. Trinil Susilawati (a consultant for PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa and an expert in animal reproduction technology); Dr. Nanang Febrianto (head of Lecturer Work program); Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D (head of MBKM program); Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc (ruminant nutrition); Artharini Irsamyawati, MP (forage animal feed), and Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti, M.Sc, (reproductive technology).

They want to cooperate with PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa (WMP) to work together to realize the design. Because PT. WMP is a holding company with line businesses in the fields of cattle (PT. Pasir Tengah), poultry (PT. Widodo Makmur Unggas), property & energy (PT. Langgeng Makmur Perkasa), meat fresh, meat processing & leather (PT. Cianjur Arta). Makmur), and foods (PT. Widodofood Makmur Sejahtera).

The initial discussion was carried out by the RG-RMP team with the owner of PT. WMP, Ir. Tumiyana, MBA and the board of directors. The meeting was held at the Cipayung main office, East Jakarta offline according to health protocols, Thursday (30/09/2021).

On that occasion, discussed the cooperation plan for the formation of UB cattle and yubi Grass. It also mentions the cattle business partnership with PT. Pasir Tengah with a group of beef cattle breeders assisted by RG-RMP which has been in East Java.

Ir. Tumiyana also conveyed a strategy on the development and role of holding companies in the national food supply. Through an integrated business between cattle, chicken, agriculture, and renewable energy businesses. So that it becomes efficient in saving the earth and the universe which is in line with the RG-RMP motto. (TS&RP/dta)
