Plan Student IoT Macro Monitoring Based Sheep Investment Development System of Fapet Wins 3rd Place

The development of the livestock sector can support the welfare of the country’s economy. Development efforts can be carried out by investing in sheep livestock. Because these livestock are easy to adapt so that every year the population has increased. However, raising sheep has challenges in buying and selling, because most of the breeders’ villages still use the traditional system by taking advantage of the Eid al-Adha momentum or aqiqah. When outside of that moment the price of sheep is unstable so the sales are uncertain.

Responding to this problem, students of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) created a sheep investment development system based on IoT (Internet of Things) macro monitoring. Namely the concept of a smart preventive digital application monitoring system that can make it easier for farmers to monitor and convince investors to make transactions or invest.

The system was created byBagus Chandra Ramadhan Gunawan, Putri Selvia Nurfebriana, and Zahrotur Rozana. Together with the supervisor Dr. Premy Puspitawati Rahayu. Through this system they won third place in the eventLevel Scientific Writing CompetitionNational named UNY Scientific Fair, Friday-Saturday (19-20/52023).

Nice say on the long term output of the system they created is to get an increase in the number of sheep in Indonesia to meet the demand for meat in Indonesia. So that it will help establish price stability and increase the number of sheep. On the other hand, to minimize the number of sheep imports, Indonesia is even expected to be able to export. (dta)
