Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) batch 1983 held pulang kandang event, Sunday (30/10/2022). Namely, the reunion of miss and hospitality with senior lecturers. Located in the Auditorium, 8th floor of Gd.V Fapet UB, the event was attended by 45 alumni, six senior lecturers, and the ranks of the Dean. The lecturers who attended the invitation included Prof. Soebarinoto (retired), Prof. Siti Chuzaemi, Dr. Harry Nugroho, Dr. Umi Wisapti (full of duty), Prof. Hartutik, and Prof. Holy Maylinda.
Prof. Suyadi as the Dean in his speech said he would like to thank alumni who are willing to take the time to revisit Fapet UB. He explained that the learning facilities owned by the Faculty today are certainly progressing very rapidly compared to 39 years ago.
“Back in college (in the 1980s) if we wanted to do practicum we had to go to the laboratories of other faculties, the building was still on the second level. Now thank God Fapet UB has progressed, it has 17 laboratories including a field laboratory in Sumber Sekar, Dau.” explained Suyadi
“While the Fapet building has six buildings of which one building is still under construction, please pray for your blessing. Then it has been accredited nationally by BAN PT and international accreditation from ASIIN. The progress of Fapet’s development as it is today is also due to the hard work of our senior lecturers and all Fapet students from the first batch until 2022.” he continued
Meanwhile, the alumni representative, Dicky had the opportunity to convey a message of impression. According to him, studying animal husbandry provides many benefits both in career and daily life in fulfilling animal protein.
“I am proud to be an alumni of Fapet because I can contribute to fulfill nutrition and animal protein for the community.” explained Dicky.
After the remarks, the alumni handed over souvenirs in the form of a reunion shirt to the Lecturers and the Deans. The event closed with hospitality and entertainment. (dta)
