Poultry Club Visit to Increase  Chicken Cultivation Knowledge in the Industrial World

Barisan Orang Sukses (BOS) Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a poultry club visit, Saturday (30/7/2022). Namely a visit to a poultry company and is one of the work programs of the BOS PC scientific division.

The goal is to improve capabilities and provide insight and knowledge about broiler chicken cultivation from upstream to downstream in the industrial world. As well as motivating students to think creatively and innovatively in the field of animal husbandry and entrepreneurship.

The activities organized by the entrepreneurship-based student activity unit were carried out online.  Invited Bimo Yudo Setyawan from PT. Semesta Mitra Sejahtera (CPI Group) and Ahmad Fahrudin Husen (Fapet UB Student 2019) as resource persons. Meanwhile, the participants consisted of members of the BOS Diklat X & XI.

Bimo explained some of the challenges in doing the broiler chicken business, including market competition,  maintenance management, access to capital, outbreaks/diseases,  limited land,  fluctuating prices,   population growth is increasing, and technology industry 4.0.
