Universitas Brawijaya (UB) created the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW) 2021. The activity which is aimed at students of Undergraduate (S1) and Diploma (D3) Programs, aims to develop students’ interest and entrepreneurial spirit. So that higher education graduates are more likely to be job creators than job seekers .
The program is socialized to students of each Faculty in UB, including the Animal Science Faculty (ASF). The socialization activity at ASF UB took place on Wednesday (3/03/2021) which was managed by the entrepreneurship-based Student Activity Unit called Barisan Orang Sukses (BOS).
The event which was conducted online was opened by Dr. Agus Susilo, S. Pt., MP., IPM., ASEAN Eng. (Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs). While inviting Dr. Mohammad Rozikin, M. Si. (Head of PMW UB) as a speaker who delivered a deeper understanding of PMW, as well as tips & tricks for passing DIKTI funding.
“Basically, the Student Entrepreneurship Program is to facilitate students who have an interest in entrepreneurship or start a business. Through entrepreneurship education and training, internships, preparation of business plans, capital support and mentoring as well as business sustainability. on the basis of science, technology and art. ” explained Rozikin
“We hope that through this activity it can equip students to become new entrepreneurs who will be able to become job creators and not as job seekers anymore.” he concluded (DTA)
