Preparation for the Implementation of BOS Internships Screening Prospective Participants

Barisan Orang Success (BOS) once again held an internship for students of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB). Internship is one of the BOS work programs in collaboration with smallholder farms, in order to provide learning and experience for students about the world of work. As well as adding relationships and filling quality vacation time.

The requirements for participating in the event are active students of Fapet UB who have received vaccines (preferably the second and booster vaccines). The activity is carried out at the end of the even and odd semester holidays for two weeks. This time, the internship will start from August 1 to August 16, 2022, where the placement will be on people’s farms.

Like Diandra Farm (rabbit), Dr. Goat Livestock (goats), Azhar Rabbit Farm (rabbits), Madukara Farm (goats), CV. Sinar Mentari (goats), CV Karunia (dairy cows), Ngantang Dairy Cattle Farm, Toromiri Dairy Cattle Farm, MSS farm, UD. Burja Goat Farm, Navy Farm Cluster, Samudera Farm, Cages Collective Ex. Tani H. Jaya, PT. KTHR Indonesia, Dewi Sri Farm, Flamboyan Farm, and SMK Alam Raya Pasuruan.

Ahead of the event, the committee held a screening of prospective participants for three days, Friday – Sunday (1-3/7/2022). There were 132 registered participants, then 119 students passed the screening. Participants are declared to have passed, divided into groups and placed in different internship locations.

BOS is a student activity unit at Fapet UB which accommodates students to develop their potential, interests, talents, and creativity in the field of entrepreneurship. So that it is expected to be able to give birth to talented young entrepreneurs both in terms of education and skills in the field. Because it is able to combine the combination of science and technology applied in the livestock industry both in terms of production, livestock processes, and marketing. (dta)
