Teaching staff of the Faculty of Animal Science, University of Jambi (Fapet Unja) visited the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Tuesday (9/11/2021). The group chaired by Dr. Ir. Agus Budiansyah, MS (Dean) in order to study and consult on the preparation of international accreditation forms.
Currently, the livestock study program at Fapet Unja is preparing for the preparation of an international accreditation form. So it requires sharing experiences and tips for initial accreditation submissions to field visits.
Located in the senate meeting room on the 6th floor of Fapet UB, they were warmly welcomed by the Dean and representatives of ASIIN and AQAS international accreditation task force teams. Because at the end of October 2021, Fapet UB’s undergraduate program has entered the online field visitation stage in the process of applying for an international accreditation named ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik) which is based in Germany, the visit was carried out online considering the pandemic conditions which is not under control.
Besides that, the Master Program and Doctoral Program at Fapet UB also apply for AQAS (international accreditation Agency for Quality Assurance through the Accreditation of Study Programs), but are still in the stage of submitting documents.
According to Prof. Suyadi as the Dean of Fapet UB, the application for international accreditation is carried out as an effort to improve the quality of study programs and towards Fapet with an international reputation, as well as to produce graduates with quality.
The first step to prepare submissions is to build an international quality culture for teaching and educational staff. And complete the infrastructure to support the smooth teaching and learning activities.
This means that the behavior, mentality, and performance of lecturers and employees are given guidance on international teaching and service standards. Then gradually implemented the standard. Gradually, the culture of human resource quality has improved and is supported by modern and sophisticated infrastructure.
Furthermore, the formation of a team task force to compile accreditation documents, which was commanded by the Dean and Deputy Dean I. (dta)
