Face-to-face Lectures at Fapet UB are carried out in stages

The Rector of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) through circular letter number 1711/UN10/TU/2022 decides that even semester lectures for TA.2021-2022 will be conducted face-to-face or offline. However, given the spike in Covid-19 cases and the establishment of PPKM in Malang City, the offline teaching and learning process (PBM) only has a capacity of 25% of the total number of students per class with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. Meanwhile, the students who attended had received two vaccines.

Even-semester lectures began on Monday (7/2/2022) but were still conducted online. Because it is necessary to study online lectures by each supporting lecturer. As well as socialization of hybrid, namely lecturers teach in class but the presence of students is a combination of online and offline.PBM Hybrid is scheduled for the second week, which is February 14, 2022.

Following the circular, learning at UB’s Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) is also conducted online in the first week. This is used by lecturers to strengthen the use of hybrid support tools, which requires adaptation of the procedures for using them.

Prof. Suyadi as the dean, said that Fapet UB has prepared a health protocol so that students can return to campus without worrying. Starting from scanning the care and protection barcodes that have been installed in each building, hand washing areas before entering the building, ventilated windows for each class, and automatic temperature gauges.

“Besides that, we also provide 21 classes equipped with cameras equipped with hand sensor features. So that the camera will follow and be able to rotate 270 degrees when waved by the hand. It keeps the class atmosphere offline as a whole.” Suyadi
