Monitoring and Evaluation of PKKM Activities in the Animal Husbandry Undergraduate Study Program

Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) conducts monitoring and evaluation (monev) in front of the staff of the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti), Friday (8/10/2021). Located on the 6th floor of the Rectorate, the UB Faculty of Animal Husbandry team submitted a report on the activities of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM).

This is because the Bachelor of Animal Husbandry Study Program (PS) with Agricultural Agrotech PS (Faculty of Agriculture) and Water Engineering Study Program (Faculty of Engineering) passed the PKKM. Namely, the transformation of government funds for higher education from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The goal is to realize the aspirations of each university and encourage the potential for the achievement of the eight Main Performance Indicators (IKU).

The KPI points include (1) graduates getting a decent job by earning a salary above the minimum wage, entrepreneurship, or continuing their studies; (2) students get off-campus experiences such as internships, village projects, teaching, research, entrepreneurship, student exchange; (3) lecturers have activities outside the campus by seeking experience in industry or other campuses; (4) on-campus teaching practitioners (recruiting lecturers with industry experience); (5) the work of lecturers is used by the community or gets international recognition; (6) study programs in collaboration with world-class partners in curriculum, internships, and graduate equivalence; (7) collaborative and participatory classes; (8) international standard study program.

So far, PKKM Fapet UB activities are divided into three activities, namely (1)Husbandry Department improvement of competence, performance, and reputation of Animal husbandry program at the international level; (2) increasing the competence of students (graduates) through the MBKM program; and (3) the contribution of the community to the community in increasing productivity and sustainability of livestock business through the implementation of MBKM.

Head of PKKM Dr.Ir. Marjuki, M.Sc. provides details of each activity. Activity one, chaired by Dr. Nanang Febrianto, S.Pt., MP. consists of filing an international accreditation, student exchanges, international seminars, research and international cooperation, and strengthening road map research group (RG).

While the second activity is increasing industrial cooperation in implementing MBKM, entrepreneurial MBKM, establishing a Professional Certification Institute (LSP), and collaborative and participatory class grants. The head of this activity is Rizki Prafitri, S.Pt., MA, Ph.D.

Activity three with the chairman Prof.Dr.Ir. Trinil Susilawati, MS., IPU., ASEAN Eng conducted workshops, promotion, and dissemination of innovation results, creation of a virtual expo system, action research on community legume cultivation, implementation of artificial insemination (AI) plus on 120 dairy cows. It established a field school for millennial breeders.
