The Ministry of youth and sports from the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held an entrepreneurship talk show and the use of social media as a marketing tool, Saturday (6/11/2021). The event was held online, in order to celebrate the Youth Pledge Day which is commemorated every October 28.
The target of the activity is the general public, especially Fapet UB students. The goal is to motivate and provide insight to the younger generation about the importance of the world of entrepreneurship and the function of social media as a marketing tool.
The invited speakers were Bayu Aji Handayanto (Owner of Sapiperah Farm) and Muhammad Kautsar (Owner of Bakmi Sedjuk). According to Bayu, the most valuable teacher is experience. Because experience provides lessons for the future. However, the main capital to enter entrepreneurship is knowledge, confidence, and consistency.
In line with that thought, Muhammad Kautsar argues that in entrepreneurship it is not enough to just rely on capital (materials) but the most important thing is knowledge about marketing, production, and branding both offline and online.
Social media serves as a marketing tool that affects the development of a business. Interesting content can steal the attention and curiosity of customers. In addition, the location and arrangement of the place are comfortable, eye-catching, it also has an impact on customer loyalty. (dta)
