UB Faculty of Animal Science Strengthens New “Intelligence Livestock Farming” Program through Internal Meeting with Lecturers

Malang – Demonstrating progressive strides in higher education, the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, is forging ahead with the establishment of a new program titled “Intelligence Livestock Farming”.

With optimism and thorough preparation, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijya, Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Halim Natsir, S.Pt., MP., IPM., ASEAN Eng., is actively advancing the creation of this innovative program. “We recognize the paramount importance of innovation in livestock education. The “Intelligence Livestock Farming” program embodies our vision to produce graduates equipped for the modern era,” stated Prof. Halim.

During the meeting, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Ir. Rizki Prafitri, S.Pt., M.A., Ph.D., also conveyed insights from a recent symposium held in conjunction with the 62nd anniversary of the Faculty of Animal Science in October 2023. He emphasized, “Collaboration with external stakeholders, including practitioners and industry leaders, ensures that the curriculum we develop aligns seamlessly with current industry demands.” Furthermore, such collaborations aim to offer internship and employment opportunities for students upon graduation.

Representatives from the faculty involved in the program’s formation, Prof.Dr.Ir. Trinil Susilawati, MS., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and Eko Nugroho, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., reaffirmed their commitment to contribute significantly. “With the collective support from all stakeholders, we are confident that this program will mark a pivotal moment in livestock education within Indonesia,” expressed Prof. Trinil.

Significantly, faculty members from various disciplines within the Faculty of Animal Science attended the symposium, underscoring the comprehensive support internally to realize this innovative vision that adapts to contemporary changes.

It is anticipated that with the introduction of the “Intelligence Livestock Farming” program, Universitas Brawijaya in Malang will continue to innovate, making tangible contributions to the advancement of the national livestock sector and societal welfare. (MT)
