Faculty of Animal Science Students Participate in the Semeru MBKM Program Wave I

A total of six students of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) class of 2019 participated in the Semeru Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) activity wave I. They are Fatimah, Galuh Aditya Utama, Khofifah Indah Mei Wargiati, Mega Handayani, Nafrizal Arfian Kurniawan, and Olivia Feby Valentina.

MBKM Semeru is a form of UB’s dedication to the community affected by Mount Semeru, which erupted in December 2021. MBKM activities are carried out by fostering and assisting the community in recovering post-disaster conditions.

The activity was attended by 49 students from various faculties in UB. The departure of the participants was carried out by the Chancellor, Prof. Nuhfil Hanani AR., Friday (21/01/2022). They will live in the Semeru area for 2.5 months, from January 21 to April 30, 2022. Meanwhile, the study load for participants is recognized as learning equivalent to 20 credits.

Before departure, students have been provided with disaster mitigation, mapping of disaster impacts and potential for regional development, trauma healing, and children’s education, maternal and child health, town and school watching for hazard mitigation, economic and environmental recovery, and information technology by UB Lecturers from various fields. expert.
