Strengthen Cooperation between Universities with PTN BH status, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Education Staff Visits UNS and UGM 

Educational staff of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Thursday – Friday (11-12/8/2022). The event is in the context of developing and strengthening cooperation in the fields of academics, student affairs, alumni, and entrepreneurship between State Universities with Legal Entities (PTN BH).

The reason is that the two universities located in Surakarta and Yogyakarta first had the status of PTN BH. Meanwhile, UB officially became a legal entity in October 2021.

On that occasion Prof. Budi as the vice dean II of Fapet UB said that PTN BH is a State University established by the government, which has the status as an autonomous legal subject. It is hoped that by changing this status, universities can develop and innovate more quickly.

“One of thebeing a PTN BH is being able to open a new study program or close it when it is deemed no longer needed. In terms of finances and personnel, it can be regulated by itself.” he explained 

Besides, the purpose of these activities is the capacity building of human resources. Namely, increasing the knowledge and skills, attitudes and behavior of Fapet UB’s education staff. (dta)
