Undergraduate Program (S1) Students of the Faculty of Animal Science, University of Brawijaya (Fapet UB) who are taking the livestock industry system course, attend a guest lecture by practitioners, Friday (18/11/2022). Located in the Auditorium on the 8th floor, the speakers who attended were drh. Bambang Rudianto as Head of Sales Technical and Supporting from PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Sidoarjo. He conveyed the industrial system of PT. Japfa Comfeed from upstream to downstream, regarding breeding, broiler and laying hens.

According to the Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB, Prof. Suyadi, this activity with the theme Livestock Integration Industrial System is one form of the 2022 Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM). Namely the transformation of government funds for higher education from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The aim is to realize the aspirations of each tertiary institution and encourage the potential achievements of the eight Key Performance Indicators (IKU).

KPI points include (1) graduates get decent jobs by earning a salary above the UMR, entrepreneurship, or continuing their studies; (2) students get experience off campus such as internships, village projects, teaching, research, entrepreneurship, student exchanges; (3) lecturers carry out activities outside the campus by seeking experience in other industries or campuses; (4) teaching practitioners on campus (recruiting lecturers with industry experience); (5) the results of the lecturer’s work are used by the community or get international recognition; (6) study programs in collaboration with world-class partners in curriculum, internships, and graduate equalization; (7) collaborative and participatory classes; (8) international standard study programs.

One of the PPKM activity agendas implemented at Fapet UB is inviting alumni and practitioners to be involved as teachers in guest lectures. So that it can increase the competence of students in the livestock industry. (dta)
