Guest Lecture with Data Scientist AFENUE

The Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (PPS Fapet UB) held a guest lecture, Wednesday (2/06/2021). The activity was carried out online by inviting Danung Nur Adli, S.Pt., MP., M.Sc, alumni of the double degree program of Fapet UB as well as data scientist of Animal Feed Nutrition Modeling Research Group (AFENUE) belonging to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).

On that occasion, Danung gave some material, firstly a meta-analysis as part of the research. Then tips and tricks to penetrate Scopus journals with high impact factors for the second material, and finally, the introduction to UX Research.

According to him, meta-analysis is the analysis of statistical studies by analyzing data from primary studies. Furthermore, the analysis results are used as the basis for correction factors, accept, support from previous research.

While UX Research or user experience research aims to build empathy for users in the product and service development process.

“Examples of methods that use UX Research are usability studies, intercept studies, diary studies, user journey mapping, product audits, A/B or multivariate testing, card sorting, eye-tracking, tree testing, design reviews, desirability studies, participatory design (co-design), behavioral mapping, body storming, cognitive walkthrough, contextual inquiry, cultural probes, participant observation, true-intent studies, ecosystem mapping,” he said

Lecture participants came from various universities, including Politeknik Negeri Jember  (Polije), Payakumbuh Politani, BPTP West Papua, STFI SADRA Jakarta, and Brawijaya University. (dta)
