The announcement of the National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) XXIX, Thursday (11/8), mentioned that the contingent of Animal Husbandry Faculty got 1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal. The victory was achieved by the two teams PKM-P and team PKM-K through a poster contest and exhibition of products.
Team PKM-PE (Student Creativity Program Research Exact Sciences) under the guidance of Heli Tistiana, S.Pt,MP got a gold medal. The research about “Bioctery” (Biological Antibacterials for egg hatchery) : Utilization of antibacterial compounds extracted from the kersen leaf (Mutingia Calabura) in treatment as an attempt to Improve duck eggs hatching hybrids. The team consists of Fatikhatul Huda (chairman), M. Ngalaul Huda, Galuh Dianita Fitri, and Dewi Ambarwati.
Meanwhile, the bronze medal presented by team PKM-K (Student Creativity Program Entrepeneurship) guided by Dr. Ir Osfar Sjofjan, M.Sc. The collaboration between the students of Animal Husbandry Faculty and students of Economics and Business Faculty of Brawijaya University consist of Bagus Ardiani (Animal Husbandry-2013), M. Ihwan Yulianto (Animal Husbandry-2013), Zaenal Abidin (Animal Husbandry-2013), Dwi Susan (Animal Husbandry-2013), and Putri Ambarsari ( Economics and Business-2014) review “NEO-HERBALIZE” (The effort of bioactive supplements to substitute antibiotics and antioxidants for residue free broiler famrs).
PIMNAS XXIX in 2016, which was held at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), make Brawijaya University became the champion for the fifth time by obtaining 10 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. (dta)
