The essence of education is not only theoretical delivery but also character and ethics, professionally building science and technology, and benefiting others, the nation, and the state. This is because character building and ethics for the younger generation are needed to form a strong personality in accordance with the spirit of Pancasila and intellectuality.
In order to achieve this goal, the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) holds a Character Education Based on Realism (PKBR) for each batch of new students. Through PKBR, it is hoped that it can foster students in participating in academic activities, socialize the ethics of campus life, and build self-character and reality-based cooperation so that it can produce graduates who have character and ethics in addition to being experts in the field of animal husbandry.
This was conveyed by the Dean, Prof. Dr.Sc.Agr.Ir. Suyadi, MS, IPU., ASEAN Eng in closing online PKBR even semester 2020/2021 activities, Saturday (8/5/2021). The closing of the PKBR was carried out on the weekend in Ramadan, because this holy month is full of blessings for all people.
“Even though the month of Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, the blessing is for all human beings regardless of religion and race. For example, a clothes trader who feels that there are more orders for Eid al-Fitr needs. Because when we buy, we don’t look at the seller’s religious background. ” said Suyadi
Agreeing with the statement Sarno Wibono, M.Ch., C.ht, a consultant, hypnotherapist, trainer, motivator, and book writer, was presented as a resource person. He conveyed about “Building Brotherhood and Tolerance Towards Success and True Happiness.”
According to him, the key to success in forming a network is to maintain tolerance and maintain a friendship. Because forming a network has the advantage of exchanging information/experience / knowledge and insights, so that it can be used to develop fraternal relationships from all over the world. (dta)
