Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 19/3), the semi-autonomous Institution namely English Garden Prosperity (EGP) of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Brawijaya University, held “Welducation Ceremony”. The event which held in the lobby of building II Faculty of Animal Husbandrywas an opening ceremony for welducation activity (weekly education). “Welducation” was an EGP program which offeredEnglish learning to everyone who are interested in English.
This program is heldroutinely at once a week and free of charge. While, the aim of this activity was to improve the student achievmentas well as to prepare the great candidate to face the Olympic and English debate.
According to Melani, one of the organizer team, the mentors of this program were from the EGP but they also have a cooperation with English for Specific Purposes (ESP) from Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP). At the opening welducation ceremony, the organizer also invited 3 (three ) native speakers who were the student of Faculty of Animal Husbandry whichfrom Libya, Japan, and Solomon Island. They shared about their culture and presented amusic performance In addition, that event also offered free milkshake and yogurt.
