Faculty of Animal Science conducts an international event named The first International Conference on Environmentally Sustainable Animal Industry (ICESAI), Rabu – Thursday (18-19/11/2020). This activity is virtually carried out as a further step to support national and international accreditation of faculty/study program so that intertaional reputation and rank improve.
Indicator of accreditation assessment from national accreditation body (BANPT) or other foreign institution and national institution rank from directorate of higher education, ministry of education and culture is the numbers of international journal publication. Output of this conference would be accredited international journal and ISBN proceedings.
The main objective of conducting ICESAI is facilitating to share development of science and technology to support animal industry needs. Therefore, the committee invited keynote speakers from academic and practical point of views from different countries.
They are Prof. Dennis Poppi (Queensland University, Australia), Prof. A. K. Thiruvenkadan (Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University, India), Prof. Suyadi (Fapet UB), Prof. Sunthorn Wittayakhun (Rajamangala University of Lanna, Thailand), Dr. Matthias Schumtz (Lohmann Breeders GmbH, Germany), Ir. Didiek Purwanto G. (Gapuspindo, Indonesia), Prof. A. Jalaludin (Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University, India),Dr. Ma. Asuncion G. Beltran (Tarcal Agriculture University, Philipines), dan Dr. Eko Widodo (Fapet UB).
The chair, Dr. Eko Widodo said that ICESAI is an annual international conference. It means that the event will be held annually, and this year is the first time. In addition, Faculty of Animal Science UB has already routine international seminar which is conducted once in three year focusing on sustainable animal production. (dta)
