Wants to Open a Professional Certification Institute Fapet Holds FGD Document Preparation

The Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya in 2023 will open a Professional Certification Institute (LPS). Namely the agency implementing professional certification activities that obtains a license from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

As a preparatory step, the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) team held a  discussion group forum(FGD) regarding the preparation of assessment instrument form documents for the manager scheme of poultry breeder farms, halal slaughtermen, and inseminators. Taking place at the Grand Mercure Hotel Malang, the event invited speakers from the National Professional Certification Agency, Ir. Sumardi, Thursday-Friday (24-25/11/2022). The participants were 30 lecturers for the bachelor of animal husbandry program at Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB.

Head of PKKM Prof. M. Halim Natsir said that this discussion was a form of support for the plan to open the first party LPS (P1) at the university level by Fapet UB. The purpose of establishing LSP P1 is to train certification participants for industrial needs. So that in the future the resulting output will have skills in accordance with the needs of the industrial world. (asr/dta)
