Halal bihalal for connecting the relationship

Halal bihalal is a tradition of celebrating Eid al-Fitr to ask and apologize for each other. Besides that, this moment becomes the connection of the relationship so that Allah SWT gives long life and health, expands fortune, and resolves life’s problems.

According to him, humans were created with wild animal traits but controlled with common sense and devotion to Allah SWT. There are often quarrels caused by a misunderstanding of speaking, which is motivated by lust alone.

“Therefore, in our social life, we should organize ways of speaking based on common sense so as not to hurt other people’s feelings. This halal bihalal is our opportunity to apologize to each other to create a peaceful and serene life,” he explained

The celebration of Eid Al-Fitr 1442 H at Fapet UB was the same as last year, it was carried out online considering that the Covid-19 pandemic has not ended. The meeting was attended by deans, educators, education staff, student representatives, retired lecturers and staff, alumni, and Dharma Wanita through a zoom meeting. (dta)
