After a month of holding back worldly desires, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr as a day of victory. Colored with the halal bi halal tradition, namely apologizing to each other to perfect worship and return to being pure people.
This tradition is also carried out by the big family of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) consisting of lecturers, education staff, student representatives, and retired staff, Wednesday (11/5/2022). Located in the auditorium on the 8th floor, the event was held offline for the first time during the preceding pandemic.
Lecturer at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. Nasrulloh, Lc., M.Th.I was asked to give tausiah. He said halal bi halal is a good tradition in Indonesian society because it can reduce friction and conflict between co-workers, neighbors, family, and friends. And strengthen the relationship.
However, to apologize or forgive, there is no need to wait for a halal bi halal moment. Because when you can worship and enjoy life in peace, without any feelings of hatred that block it, it is a pleasure.
“If someone hurts or offends us, don’t be provoked by emotion by replying. Give in, be patient, and sincere, and pray for that person to be given guidance. Giving up doesn’t mean losing, giving in means we win against lust.”
