Faculty of Animal Science Postgraduate Building was inaugurated by the Rector of UB

Rector of  Universitas Brawijaya Prof. Widodo, S.Si.,M.Si.,Ph.D.Med.Sc. inaugurated the Postgraduate building belonging to the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet), Friday (27/1/2023). The activity was attended by the Vice Chancellors, Deans in UB, UB Fapet Lecturers, and invited partners. The inauguration was marked by the signing of the stone inscription and the cutting of the rope by the Dean and Rector. Then Prof. Widodo invited the entourage to explore floor by floor.

In his speech, Widodo hopes that Fapet UB will provide facilities that support the lectures of Masters and Doctoral Program students. So that the number of postgraduate students continues to increase every year which can support the University’s ranking.

In line with that opinion, Prof. Suyadi as the Dean said the construction of this building was based on the increasing number of postgraduate students. Besides that, there is an additional engineering program that has been opened since the odd semester of the academic year. 2022/2023.

“Fapet’s Postgraduate Building for both the Masters and Doctoral programs were previously on the 2nd floor. However, it only has classrooms, lecturer transit rooms, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, rooms for study programs, and administration rooms. Even though the number of students is increasing every year, to increase the comfort of teaching and learning activities, it is time for Pasca to have his own building.” Suyadi said

The five-storey building is located east of Building I and is named Building VI. The floor plans include the 1st floor for the lobby and reception, 2nd floor classrooms and engineering program administration, 3rd floor classrooms and master program administration, 4th floor classrooms and doctoral program administration, and 5th floor there is an auditorium.
