Lecturers of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) together with the Department of Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries of Ponorogo Regency have a training program for consulting on independent feed development. Namely equipping livestock groups in Ponorogo Regency with skills in preparing independent concentrates in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of dairy farming businesses.
The initial steps taken by Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc., Prof. Trinil Susilawati, Dr. Masudi, Dr. Kuswati, Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D, and Aulia Puspita Yekti, M.Sc are holding a discussion group forum (FGD) with the head of the Ponorogo Regency livestock group, Thursday (25/8/2022). They discussed the problems surrounding the dairy cattle feed experienced in Pudak and Pulung Districts. As well as alluding to the impact of PMK on the dairy farming business.
Asri as the team leader said based on the results of the discussion it was found that breeders had not provided optimal feed, so livestock productivity was also not optimal. So it is necessary to socialize and assist in giving concentrate to cattle in order to increase milk production.
Meanwhile, the response of dairy farmers to the plan was responded well and enthusiastically. They hope that through this activity they will be able to motivate groups of dairy farmers in developing their business. (dta)
