Fapet UB Prepares Quail Farming Business in Bali Islamic Boarding School

Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a meeting in Bali, Monday (4/7/2022), which involved alumni, students, and lecturers. Consisting of Ir. Nugroho W Panca (class of 1991), Ir. Agus Yohani (class of 1988), Ir. Arifin, (class of 1986), Ir. Sri Setyoningrum (class of 1991), Edi Lukman, S.Pt (class of 1996), Dr. Agus Susilo (class of 1992), Prof. Halim Natsir (class of 1990), Dr. Dyah Lestari (class of 1997), Rizki Prafitri, PhD, (class of 2000), Eko Alfiansah, S.Pt (class of 2015), Bayu, S.Pt, (class of 2014), Rizkia (class of 2017), Khaerunisa (class of 2019) ,  Akrom (class of 2019), and Prof. Osfar Sjofjan (Lecture).

 Taking place at Agus Yohani’s residence, the event was in the context of friendship between generations. As well as social service at the Nurul Quran Islamic Boarding School which is located in Negara District, Jembrana Regency, Bali.

Social service activities are realized by assisting the Nurul Quran Islamic Boarding School in preparing quail farming businesses. Through mentoring, socialization, and building the spirit of the students in starting a business in the livestock sector.

Prof. M. Halim Natsir, as a lecturer and alumni of the class of 1990, said that during this social service activity, donations from alumni amounted to Rp. 8,900,000,-. The funds will be used to build a quail cage as an initial preparation.

This quail farming business is a collaboration between the Nurul Quran Islamic Boarding School and Bank Indonesia, the Department of Islamic Finance Economics. The goal is to equip students with skills towards independence in Islamic boarding schools. (dta)
