Fapet UB Holds a Workshop to Discuss Discourse on the Establishment of Three Professional Certification Institutions

One of the activities of the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) is to establish a Professional Certification Institute (LSP) in Animal Husbandry. These include ruminant inseminators, poultry breeder farm managers, and halal slaughterers (JULEHA).

In order to prepare documents to be submitted to the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) in December, the PKKM team held a workshop, Thursday (14/10/2021). Located at the Swiss Bellin Hotel by implementing health protocols, the LSP document drafting team for ruminant livestock inseminators consisted of Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti, M.Sc, Dr. Ac Prize, and Prof. Trinil Susilawati,

While the team for the LSP JULEHA document drafter were Wike Andre Septian, M.Si, Dr. Kuswati, Dr. Khotibul Umam Al Awwaly, Dr. Irida Novianti, and Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc. Meanwhile, the LSP drafting team for poultry breeder farm managers, namely Dr. Osfar Sjofjan, Prof. M. Halim Natsir, Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D, Ria Dewi Andriani, M.Sc, Yuli Frita N., M.Sc and Faizal Andri, MP.

According to Prof. Trinil of establishing LSP is important for students, because Fapet UB alumni can take the competency test for professional certificates as a companion for diplomas.

“In the first stage, three LSP schemes are still being established, in the future they will be developed into several other LSP schemes according to the needs of Fapet UB students.” said Trinil (TS/dta)
