Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB Holds Quality Control (QC) Analyst Competency Test

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry held a Competency Test for the “Quality Control Analyst (QC) Scheme” at the 6th Floor of GED V, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, UB Friday, 10 November 2023. This event was attended by the Deputy Dean II, Dr.Ir. Agus Susilo, S.Pt., MP., IPM.ASEAN Eng., Director of the Singosari National Agricultural LSP Bpk Surini, Chair of TUK Fapet, Dr. Khothibul Umam Al Awwaly, S.Pt., M.Sc. as well as competency test participants.

Dr. Ir. Agus Susilo as Deputy Dean II opened this event by saying that This is a good start and the first time to carry out competency tests independently at the UB Faculty of Animal Husbandry. He hopes that the existence of this TUK can help improve the quality of Human Resources at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, improve student abilities, and help the community in carrying out competency tests and training.

Director of the BPK National Agricultural LSP, Surini, said that the BNSP certificate Competency Test is the main indicator that an analyst must have special skills in at least 1 area of ​​expertise which is proof and recognition for the world of work. The collaboration between Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB and National Agriculture provides very important benefits so that it has 31 competency test schemes.

Chairman of TUK Dr. Khothibul Umam said that the participants were 21 people from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UB. consisting of 4 FAS laboratory assistants, 7 FTIP laboratory assistants. 4 Faculty of Animal Husbandry students, 2 FTIP students and 4 Faculty of Animal Husbandry lecturers.

The competency test participants enthusiastically took part in the competency test event, realizing that the results would be a reflection of their abilities as quality control analysts. Competency test participants are also tested on their understanding of regulations related to product quality and how to apply these guidelines in analytical practices in the laboratory.

This competency test is not only a form of evaluation, but also a means of improving quality standards and the skills of QC quality control analysts so that they remain relevant with technological developments. (AEO)
