Fapet Welcomes the Visit of Students of SMA Negeri 1 Kalidawir, Tulungagung

A total of 170 students along with 13 accompanying teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Kalidawir, Tulungagung visited the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya, Wednesday (19/10/2022). The purpose of their visit is to gain knowledge and insight about the world of lectures, especially in UB’s animal husbandry study program. In addition, knowing the procedures for learning on campus that are different from schools.

Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Khotibul Umam briefly introduces the profile of Fapet UB and the learning curriculum applied at Fapet UB. Meanwhile, Lecturer of livestock production, Wike Andre Septian, M.Si explained career opportunities for Bachelor of Animal Husbandry.

According to him, livestock graduates have the opportunity to become managers in the livestock industry, researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs. 

“Therefore, Fapet UB has five interests, including (1) livestock production which studies livestock management and animal welfare, (2) animal feed nutrition, about animal feed (3) animal husbandry social, studying the entrepreneurial potential of livestock products and counseling to farmers, (4) livestock product technology, processing livestock products, and (5) livestock reproduction and breeding, regarding artificial insemination.” explained Andre (dta)
