FAS Collaborates with Dairy Farms in Japan to Implement Internship Program

The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) collaborates with a dairy farm in Hokkaido, Japan called Yambe Dairy Co., Ltd. The agreement was signed by the Dean, Prof. M. Halim Natsir and Takashi Yambe as CEO of Yambe Dairy, Wednesday (13/9/2023).

The agreement contains an internship program to Japan for FAS UB students, which will be held from March 11 2024 to February 10 2025. According to Prof. Halim, pThis internship program is a collaboration between industry and academic fields to exchange information and insights. Apart from that, this collaboration will contribute to developing livestock in Indonesia-Japan and both parties can promote more comprehensive activities.

After signing the collaboration, Takashi Yambe will give a lecture to students in the auditorium on the 8th floor. The theme that will be discussed is dairy cattle in Hokkaido. (dta)
