One of the implementations of the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) in 2022 at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) is to hold a joint team teaching with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Namely inviting lecturers from UPM to carry out teaching and learning activities for half a semester after the midterm exams (UTS) or for six face-to-face meetings. However, the learning from the beginning of the semester until UTS is taught is an internal lecturer from Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB.
This activity was applied to the Ruminant Animal Feed Nutrition course which was taken by third semester students of the livestock undergraduate program. The UPM teaching staff who joined were Ruminant Nutrition experts, Prof. Anja Asmara. Meanwhile, the internal lecturers of Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB who support the MK on ruminant animal feed nutrition include Dr. Marjuki, Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc, and Poespitasari Hazanah Ndaru, M.Sc.
The material presented by Prof. Anjas at the sixth meeting was Feeding Management of Beef Animals and Dairy Cattle and Ration Formulation, Wednesday (23/11/2022). Asri Nurul Huda said that this activity received positive responses from lecture participants. It can be seen from the enthusiasm of the active discussion class, even though the lectures are conducted online.
“This activity is not the first time it has been held, but a continuation from the previous year. The collaboration between UB and UPM is very good and through this activity it is hoped that there will be further collaboration between UB and UPM both in the fields of education, research and community service.” said Asri (asr/dta)
