UNISKA Lecturer Receives Doctorate Degree in Animal Science

Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Kalimantan (UNISKA), Muhammad Syarif Djaya, S.Pt, MP. carried out the Open Dissertation Examination, Thursday 9 September 2023 which led to him obtaining the title of Doctor of Animal Science (Dr.) and increasing the number of Doctoral Lecturers at UNISKA.

The exam was carried out directly in the main courtroom, lt. 6 Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB led byby the chairman of the session Prof. Lilik Eka Radiati as Head of the Animal Science Doctoral Study Program. Promoter and Co. promoter consisting of Prof.Dr.Ir. Hartutik, MP., IPU.ASEAN Eng. (Fapet UB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Osfar Sjofjan, M.Sc., IPU.ASEAN Eng. (Fapet UB), and Dr.Ir. Irfan H. Djunaidi, M.Sc., IPM.ASEAN Eng. (UB FAS). As well as the examining team including Prof.Dr.Ir. Ifar Subagiyo, M.Agr.St (Fapet UB), Dr.Ir. Eko Widodo, M.Agr.Sc.M.Sc. (Fapet UB), and Guest Lecturer Prof. Abdul Malik (Chancellor of UNISKA).

Syarif conducted research on “Evaluation of the Nutritional Value of Leguminosa Leaves Containing Lutein and Its Implementation as a Feed Additive on the Performance and Quality of Abilio Duck Eggs”. The aim of the first research was to evaluate the nutritional value and lutein content of several types of legumes (alfalfa, moringa, indigofera, and lamtoro. Phase II aimed to analyze the effect of the best legume substitution in commercial feed on the quality of Alabio duck eggs.(AEO).
