A Lecturer of Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya has received an invitation to participate in the China National Experts Program 2023.

Dr. Irida Novianti has received an invitation and funding from the Chinese government through the China National Experts Program 2023 to visit Inner Mongolia, China, from December 8 to 14, 2023. During this one-week program, Dr. Irida is engaged in various activities. As a foreign expert, she is required to deliver a presentation on the theme of Animal Breeding Strategies before the staff of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Sciences. The Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Sciences is a Chinese government institute specializing in agriculture and animal science. During this occasion, Dr. Irida also introduces several indigenous Indonesian cattle breeds and the breeding strategies implemented in Indonesia.

In addition to her presentation, through this program, Dr. Irida has the opportunity to visit several sheep and beef cattle farms in various areas of Inner Mongolia. These farms are locations for research projects conducted by the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Sciences. The research projects focus on utilizing breeding technology to enhance the productivity of local Inner Mongolian beef cattle and sheep. During these visits, the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Sciences team collaborates with regional research bodies and local government teams, all working synergistically to ensure the success of the research implementation. Dr. Irida seizes this opportunity to introduce the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijaya and explore potential collaborations that can be initiated with the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Sciences.
