UB Animal Husbandry Lecturer Visits Seoul National University

On November 8 2023, a team of lecturers worked (Dokar) chaired by Prof. V. M. Ani and consisting of Prof. M. Halim Natsir, Ir Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D, Dr. Herly Evanuarini, and Dr. Asri Nurul Huda visited the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), Seoul National University (SNU). The UB team’s visit was warmly welcomed by the Head of the International Office, Park Sung-Jin andSeoul National University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Prof. Yun, Cheol-Heui.

The meeting between FPt UB lecturers and SNU aims to get an overview and input for improving/reconstructing the Bachelor of Animal Husbandry PS curriculum. SNU provides a lot of insight and motivation to the UB Lecturer team because it is ranked 41st in the world, 7th in Asia and 40th in the world in the field of agriculture and forestry and 4th in the world in the same field. To support the teaching and learning process and research activities, CALS student lecturers have laboratories that are fully equipped and equippedup to date. Prof. Yun said that to support the lecture process in the field of animal husbandry, CALS has several facilities such as experimental pens for dairy cows, laying hens, hatcheries and land for animal feed crops.

Furthermore, UB proposed several activities that could collaborate with SNU, especially CALS such asVisiting professor / activitiesthree in one, Student exchange, Lecturer exchange, Adjuct Professor/ senior scientist, summer course, Internship, Joint supervision, Research collaboration, Joint scientific publication in international journal, Joint authorship, andDouble degree (bachelor, master, and doctoral degree).
