The celebration of the 78th Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia at Brawijaya University took place lively, Thursday (17/8/2023). After the flag ceremony which was held in the Rectorate field wearing traditional clothes from all over Indonesia, the committee also held a bazaar along the library sidewalk.
The Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) also participated as a bazaar participant with the cowboy theme. The 3×4 meter booth is designed in the style of a western ranch with straw decoration and red and white knick-knacks. The booth keeper was dressed in cowboy style, complete with boots.
Products offered include yogurt, yogurt jelly, milk tea, chicken eggs, salted eggs, honey, peanut brittle, fried onions, cassava crackers, sugar and sando bread. Ceremony participants flocked to the bazaar stand and shopped. UB Rector, Prof. Widodo, wearing Balinese traditional clothing, also visited each stand. The best selling products are yogurt jelly and yogurt which are priced at 10 thousand per cup.
At the end of the event it was announced that the Fapet stand won third place in the hottest team category by displaying the suitability of the product with the costumes worn by the booth keepers.
“Thank God, we did not know there would be an assessment from the committee. We chose the cowboy theme because it suits the ranch.” said the Dean’s wife, Jati Natsir. (dta)
