Postgraduate Program Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya held an online guest lecture, Wednesday (18/5/2022). The topics raised are big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and scientific works. Inviting Danung Nur Adli SPt. M.Pt. M.Sc. as a speaker, who is an alumni of Fapet UB double degree master (S2) program, as well as a data scientist in Animal Feed Nutrition Modeling Research Group (AFENUE) belonging to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).
In addition to master’s program and doctoral program students, participants in this guest lecture came from various livestock institutions and Sebelas Maret University. The event was operated by Dr. Osfar Sjofjan as a lecture of feed and nutrition livestock and opened by the head of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Dr. Tri Eko Susilorini. According , this event is very good because it is an innovation in the field of science to answer challenges in society. So it is hoped that mentoring and training events like this will be held continuously.
Meanwhile, Danung argues that there are more and more studies that cause the accumulation of research data in the form of journals, proceedings, final assignments, and so on with varying quality. Where the data only accumulates into reports. Though it can be processed again into further research.
Therefore, in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, big data analytics. That isthe process of extracting useful information by analyzing various types of large data sets. Big Data Analytics is used to find hidden patterns, market trends, and consumer preferences for decision-making purposes.
But so far, in conducting research, meta-analysis is still often used. Namely analysis of statistical studies by analyzing data from primary studies. Furthermore, the results of the analysis are used as the basis for correcting, accepting, and supporting factors from previous research.
