Representatives of retired lecturers and education staff from the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held an offline meeting, Wednesday (7/9/2022). Located in the seminar room on the 6th floor of Gd.V, the event which was attended by 25 people discussed the structure of the pensioner management.
The event was opened by the Dean, Prof. Suyadi as the builder of the association. He said that these retired lecturers and education staff are heroes who also struggle to contribute their thoughts and energy in advancing Fapet UB.
“Therefore, we formed a pensioner association that can accommodate retired employees to communicate with each other and establish a relationship with the life of the campus academic community.” explained Suyadi
Meanwhile, UB’s Chancellor, Prof. Widodo also said that currently the University is committed to providing access to campus facilities for retired members. Such as hospitals, polyclinics as access to health services, canteen management as access to entrepreneurship and so on.
The results of the coordination agreed that the chairman of the Retirement Association of Fapet UB is Ir. Sarwiyono, M. Agr. St. (former Dean period 1998-2001). While Dr.Ir. Hary Nugroho, MS. as vice chairman, Dr.Ir. M. Nasich, MS. as secretary, and Ir. Endang Setyowati as treasurer.
“This association will invite with open arms all retired staff at Fapet UB to join. At the next meeting, we will discuss the work program.” said Sarwiyono (dta)
