Probin Maba, Fapet Gelar Kegiatan PKBR

Program Pembinaan Mahasiswa Baru (Probin Maba/Fostering Program for Fresher) is a further activity which aimed to coach students in joining with activities of academics, socializing campus life ethics, building self-character and partnership. Faculty of Animal Husbandry of University of Brawijaya packed the event titled “Religion Based Character Development (Pembinaan Karakter Berbasis Religi/PKBR)”, to improve devotion the Almighty.

PKBR is a structured and institutionalized character development activities, aimed for fresher either moslem or non moslem. The event will be conducted on Saturdays for a semester or along the first semester in academic year of 2016/2017.

This year PKBR was officially opened by The Dean Prof. Dr.Sc.Agr. Ir. Suyadi, MS, Saturday (17/Sep/2016). Located at parking area of building I of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, name tag embedding to the participant representative became symbolization of the event that was established in 2015. Before opening, the Dean led the Dhuha Prayer in congregation and pursued with Khatam Al-Qur’an reading for moslem. Meanwhile for non-moslem students will be mobilized into the classrooms, for joining in a presentation in accordance with each faith.

In his remarks, Suyadi explained that learning outcome standard refers to Indonesian National Qualification Framework. The standard is including four competences such as attitude, knowledge, general skill, and specific skill. Knowledge and skill could be learnt at college, while attitude needs to be established for fostering akhlakul karimah character and personality. Thus it will produce qualified graduates which are not merely based on academic aspect. [dita /trans. Denok]
