Training on Making Concentrated Feed and Complete Feed for Beef Cattle in Dolokgede Village: Supporting Farmer Independence and Welfare

Dolokgede Village in Tambakrejo District, Bojonegoro Regency, witnessed a significant event on June 13-14, 2024, with the implementation of a training program focused on feed processing technology for livestock. The event aimed to support the independence and welfare of local farmers by introducing them to the technology of making concentrated and complete feed for beef cattle.

The training covered various feed processing technologies, including the production of concentrate, complete feed, ammoniated straw, fermented straw, straw tape, and feed distribution permits to obtain the Feed Registration Number (NPP). The two-day training program included both theoretical and practical sessions.

The training material was delivered by experts in animal husbandry, namely Dr. Mashudi, Dr. Asri Nurul Huda, and Rizka Muizzu Aprilia, M.Pt. The training was also accompanied by Dr. Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti and Dr. Nanang Febrianto, who are part of the Beef Cattle Cluster mentoring team in collaboration with Bank Indonesia Surabaya Region.

A total of 25 participants from the Ustan Mandiri farmer group and 3 representatives from the Maju Bersama group attended the training with enthusiasm. They acquired new knowledge and skills expected to improve the productivity and efficiency of their livestock businesses.

This training is a concrete step in efforts to enhance the independence and welfare of farmers in Dolokgede Village while strengthening the livestock sector in Bojonegoro Regency. With support from various parties, it is hoped that farmers can become more self-sufficient in meeting their livestock feed needs and compete in a broader market. mt
