In an effort to strengthen educational and industrial collaboration, the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijaya and PT. Berdikari have formalized a series of cooperative agreements aimed at supporting growth and innovation in the livestock sector. The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. M. Halim Natsir, as well as a representative from PT. Berdikari, Satria Bayu Sejati, S.Psi.
The cooperation encompasses several important aspects, including:
- Research Collaboration : This initiative aims to advance research in livestock that can be directly applied in the industry, creating synergy between academic theory and industrial practice.
- Joint Seminars : The faculty and the company will hold joint seminars intended to facilitate the exchange of current knowledge and technology relevant to industry needs.
- Visiting Lecturer Program : PT. Berdikari will send guest lecturers to the university, providing students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners and experts in the industry.
- Student Exchange : This initiative allows students to participate in academic programs at both institutions, expanding their perspectives and enriching their educational experience.
- Internship Program : Internships at PT. Berdikari will open opportunities for students to gain practical work experience, equipping them with the skills needed in the job market.
- Graduate Recruitment : PT. Berdikari will provide special opportunities to recruit and select recent graduates according to industry needs.
- Ijon Scholarship : This scholarship is targeted at selected students who show great potential in the field of livestock, offering them financial support to develop their careers.
Prof. M. Halim Natsir expressed high hopes for this collaboration, stating, “We are confident that this collaboration will lead to significant innovations and advancements in the world of education and the livestock industry. This is a major step that will provide long-term benefits to students and the national livestock sector.”
This partnership is expected to serve as a model for cooperation between higher education institutions and industry, not only enhancing the quality of education and research but also producing graduates who are ready to meet and overcome the challenges in the modern livestock industry. (mt)
