Lectures and Practicals

Students at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya, are required to participate in all academic activities, including lectures, practicals, and other activities according to the study plan and schedule that has been set. Lectures are conducted for a minimum of 14 weeks in one semester. The minimum attendance required for students to be eligible to take exams is 80% of the total meetings.

If the minimum attendance is not met, students are not allowed to take the exam unless there is a valid reason such as illness, the death of a close family member, or serving as an academic ambassador. Permission letters must be submitted to the academic section no later than 3 days after the student is absent.

Exams and Assessment

To assess students’ achievements in lectures, exams are conducted, consisting of mid-term exams and final exams. Exams can be written or oral and are scheduled according to the academic calendar. Only students who meet the requirements are allowed to take the exams. Exam results can be viewed directly on the SIAM system no later than 14 days after the exam.

Examination Rules for Courses and Practicals:

  • Mid-term exams and final exams are each held once according to the academic calendar.
  • Practical exams are specifically arranged by the practical coordinator.
  • Thesis exams and field practice exams are regulated by faculty regulations.

Short Semester

A short semester is held between the even and odd semesters to improve grades or accelerate graduation. Short semester lectures are conducted intensively with more meetings per week compared to the regular semester. The assessment in the short semester is the same as in the regular semester.
